Guardian Auto Rentals began in September 2022, when we needed a larger vehicle for our growing family. After buying a minivan, we listed our old Kia Rio on a car-sharing app, and within 20 minutes, it was booked. After seeing high demand, we purchased more vehicles, and Guardian Auto Rentals was officially born.

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old. You’ll need a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a valid debit or credit card.
Booking online is simple! Just select your preferred dates, choose your vehicle, and pick your desired location for pickup. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to help.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the reservation start time will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time, a 50% cancellation fee applies. Cancellations on the day of rental or no-shows will be charged the full reservation amount.
A standard $250 deposit is required prior to confirming your rental. This will be charged to your credit/debit card and refunded after the return of the vehicle, less any incidental charges. You are responsible for all traffic violations, parking tickets, tolls, and any other fees the vehicle gets while it is in your possession.
We also charge the required Cleveland, Ohio sales tax of 8% and an administrative fee of 3.5%. The administrative fee covers costs associated with managing your rental, including booking, billing, customer support, and vehicle maintenance.
We offer a 1-hour grace period for late returns. After that, additional usage charges will apply. If your late return affects another customer’s reservation, additional fees may also be charged.
Yes, there are a few important restrictions to keep in mind. One-way rentals and off-road use are prohibited, and vehicles may not be used for commercial purposes such as rideshare or delivery services. While out-of-state travel is allowed, vehicles may not be taken outside the country. Additionally, please ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as when it was collected.
We offer a prepaid fuel option for your convenience. If you don’t select this option, vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when they were picked up.
Yes, we offer extras like prepaid fuel and child seats. These options can be selected during the booking process.
Yes, we offer various pickup and drop-off locations around the greater Cleveland area, including Hopkins International Airport, for your convenience. Cars must be returned to the location specified in your rental agreement. If you need to change your pickup or drop-off location after booking, please contact us directly.
